Petersham Lions Changing Annual Calendar Format

The Lions are changing the format of their annual town calendar after 28 years. After this year, the calendar listing local birthdays will be no more.

Past President and member Chip Bull said the calendar has been a "28 year huge project" that took a lot of effort and cost $1,600 to to print. Lions knocked on doors and collected information about birth dates to fill in the calendar.

The new format will be somewhat like a raffle with cash prizes from recognized donors. awarded each day in September. "It's a one-page calendar for the month of  September only. We will draw a name for every day and it will cost $10 for chance to win. The club will be seeking donations," Bull said.

The Lions are planning their annual curling club tournament in March.
